Mikhail Verkholantsev was born in 1937 in Moscow.
In 1961 he graduated from Moscow Higher Arts and Crafts College (formerly named after Stroganov).
Mikhail Verkholantsev — member of Union of Artists and Creative Union of Russia.
He works in the sphere of applied and easel graphics, art design and painting. Engaged in exlibris making since 1956.
Mikhail has a number awards of international biennale of graphics in Russia, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Turkey and Poland.
He took part in international FISAE congresses in 1988, 2002 and 2004.
In 2003 he was awarded with silver medal of Russian Academy of Fine Arts.
